Description: A small proportion of the U.S. population accounts for half of all U.S. health care spending.  The 5% of the population with higher health care expenses (>=$14,601 annually) was responsible for nearly half (47.7%) of total health care spending, while the 50% of the population with the lowest expenses (<$776) accounted for only 3.2% of total spending.
